Bitvert’s paintings are created using projected light stencils. Found media imagery is juxtaposed to form new associations and meaning. A graphic punk/ rave sensibility seeks to provoke the eye and mind. This is coupled with layers of acrylic opposites intended to attract and repel the viewer in an equal measure. These paintings and prints celebrate glitch, colour error and the loss of privacy.
His work with projection evolved from a stint of guerrilla advertising such as the infamous projection of Gail Porter onto the Houses of Parliament.
