Bitvert’s paintings are created using projected light stencils. Found media imagery is juxtap osed to form new associations and meaning. A graphic punk/ rave sensibility seeks to provoke the eye and mind. This is coupled with layers of acrylic op posites intended to attract and repel the viewer in an equal measure. These paintings and prints celebrate glitch, colour error and the loss of privacy.
His work with projection evolved from a stint of guerrilla advertising such as the infamous projection of Gail Porter onto the Houses of Parliament. Projects have included audio production for ‘LDN24’ at The Museum of London and music production and performance for ‘True Fictions’, a live audio/visual performance.
