Shannon Lane

British, b.1994

“Most of us can escape reality through dreaming, whether that be in the day or at night. I aim to help those who cannot.”

BIOGRAPHY

Shannon Lane is an surrealist Artist based in East London, UK. She works both digitally and with acrylic paint on canvas, to create wild, dreamlike, landscapes depicting unusual imagery. Her work derives from living with depression and learning to escape through the power of her artwork. She aims to create familiar, yet uncomfortable, artworks which the viewer can relate to and understand what it feels like to live – and dream – with a mental health condition.
